Feed Mills

We can gather the functioning process of feed mills under these main headlines; raw material transfer, dosing, production, pelletisation, and packaging.

Raw Material Transfering Process

At first, the raw material will be weighed on the scale. The measured value goes to the system via the data network. After the raw material quality control, the transfer to the planned silo will begin. At the end of the transfer, the real value will be shown in the relevant silo.

Micro & Macro Dosing

The recipe will be determined according to the ration required and the production plan will be created. Depending on the determined production plan, the dosing process starts according to the main dosage, premix, and liquid additives according to the recipe content. In order to take the mixing elements in correct rations, the elements of the weighing unit under the dosing unit are taken from the tanks with adjustable speeds and therefore the error rate in the quantities is minimized. With all phases of the dosing process are recorded, stock and production reports are presented to the customer in detail.


The system’s general working principle is to keep the mill current between the entered target flow values and to provide maximum performance in minimum time. The program will increase and decrease the speed of the feed motor according to the flow value. At first the feeding rate will take the value entered for the initial speed parameter. Then the feed rate will increase until the mills flow approaches the upper limits. If the mill flow is above the upper flow limit the feed will start to decrease. The mixing times of the mixer can be adjusted through the system parameters, the mixing will continue as long as the duration entered in the parameter. The liquids and premixes that needs to be added will be included in the process at this point by a dosing system.


Pellet press machines are machines where the material in the production process is blended with steam to create a pellet feed according to the wanted disc diameter. The steam valve and the regulation of feeding speed which are included in automation will reach the targeted values as soon as possible without blocking the machine. It can be used automatically according to flow, steam and temperature values as well as manual use when wished for. It is made possible to comment on the machine’s performance with flow, steam and temperature trend graphs and capacity and efficiency reports.


According to the type of product, a recipe will be created. Based on these recipes the scale feeding speeds are adjusted for fast and sensitive weighing. It may vary depending on the product. At the end of packaging, the product numbers are counted and recorded in the reporting section.
